Review:I purchased the Shark Steam Pocket Mop because I'm about to move into a house that is all tile. I figured it would be much more convenient than my traditional mop, despite the heavy price. The mop is very easy to set up and you can use it almost instantly as it heats up in less than 30 seconds. The first time I used the Shark Steam Pocket Mop I wasn't impressed because it didn't get up the tough stuff off the floor as easily as my traditional mop. But, I quickly learned if you hold the mop on the sticky or stuck on stuff on the floor for a few seconds, the steam easily loosens the gunk and it just wipes away.
I love the mop because the pads it comes with trap the dirt and you can clearly see how well it has cleaned the floor. It's light weight and very easy to use. The water tank holds a decent amount of water so you aren't always running back and forth to the sink. The size of the mop is very similar to that of traditional mops so it doesn't take up any more space than any other mop. The pads it comes with are machine washable so when you're done with the floor you can just toss them in the washing machine so they are ready for the next day.
What has sold me the most with the Shark Steam Pocket Mop is the steam it produces. With four small children always playing on the floor, one of which who is just learning to crawl, I can ensure the floor they are playing on is clean and as germ free as it can get. This gives me peace of mind as I see their hands enter their mouth all day long.
The mop is so convenient I can easily pull it out after meals to clean up any spilled juice or sticky food on the floor. The cord has a great reach so I don't always have to change outlets.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Shark Steam Pocket Mop and so far I don't see any negatives about it. I highly recommend the Shark Steam Pocket Mop if you have a lot of floor to clean or small children.
